About us

Bytomski / Bytomska Jewellery is designed and made by Bogumil Bytomski and Julia Bytomska, father and daughter that work together in their family workshop.

It all started in 1973, when Bogumil opened his first goldsmithing workshop in Warsaw. Since then, he has created exceptional jewelry with the same passion everyday.

The new chapter of this over 50 years long story started a few years ago. Bogumil’s daughters now have joined him in the work. Julia, a recognized graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, is the new creative power at the goldsmithing bench.

In 2013, with the help of Zuza, the new concept for the family business was born - brand Bytomski / Bytomska

///

We design and create hand-made silver and gold jewelry in our family workshop, always ourselves and following our own taste.

We live and work close to the nature. It is our important and permanent inspiration, source of energy and place to relax. That is why each piece created in our workshop is unique, each is an individual piece of work and is different than other, even if some of them are created according to the same model.

///

Nature inspires us not only to artistic activities.

Awareness of the place of origin and ways of obtaining raw materials that we use at work gives us the opportunity to choose.

Precious metals and gemstones are extracted on an industrial scale in a manner extremely invasive to the environment and harmful to people. Do you know how many tons of earth you have to dig, how many hectoliters of toxic chemicals to use to get the gold needed to produce only one wedding ring? Extracting that amount of gold - a few grams - generates whole tons of waste ...

We believe that it can be different! We believe that using the Earth's resources in a sustainable and responsible way, we can stop the destruction and give a chance for stabilization.

That is why we offer you gold with the Fairmined certificate, that is, obtained in a responsible, sustainable manner, contributing to the improvement of local communities and environmental protection. You can learn more about Fairmined at www.fairmined.org.

We are also happy to use the so-called „jewellery junk pile", i.e. old, damaged or unwanted jewelry. We will be happy to use the material entrusted to you again or simply transforming old jewelry into a new one in the spirit of up-cycling.
